The HSE recently organised a workshop, Safety Alerts: Everyone has a role to play What’s yours?, where various industries participated and pledged their commitment towards ensuring easy dissemination of safety information. One of the proposals made by the HSE was updating its Safety Bulletin System so as to issue safety alerts through text messages, emails and RSS feeds. The system warns industry of any information that will help them prevent accidents.

The participating industries have agreed to find various ways of both issuing as well as sharing such safety information with others along with organising forums for discussing such issues.
